On a plot of Pinot Noir in the Beaune region, part of the vineyard was treated with the BOSCA-B application program to study its effect on managing stress in the vines.

The start of summer imposed severe constraints on the vines: a water deficit (with only 0.2 inches of rain between mid-May and mid-June) and high temperatures. July and August were marked by significant variations in humidity and temperature over a period of just a few days. These conditions caused significant and consecutive stress to the vines.
The water potential measured in early June (after a long period without rain) shows lower water stress for vines treated with BOSCA-B, indicating better plant respiration (leaf water potential measured using a pressure chamber).

BOSCA-B applications have also enabled better berry growth thanks to stress management during ripening (measurement of Delta C13 in grape must) while maintaining yield. This results in higher berry weight and better must balance at harvest.
