As a partner of the Pig Research Days last February, Biodevas presented the results of the SOWEL trial demonstrating the product's effectiveness on the performance of sows and piglets in maternity wards.
Indeed, with sows becoming increasingly prolific, difficulties for sows on the one hand (long farrowing, appetite problems, dysgalactia, etc.) and for piglets on the other (survival, homogeneity, etc.) tend to increase in breeding.
That is why we have developed SOWEL, a nutritional solution composed exclusively of phytogenic extracts from organically grown plants, designed to optimize the birthing process and increase lactation so that you can calmly reap the economic benefits of this productivity.
The trial conducted at the IFIP experimental station in Romillé confirmed the many positive effects of SOWEL:
- Decrease in stillbirths
- Decrease in pre-weaning mortality
- Improved uniformity and weight of piglets at weaning
These parameters confirmed the high return on investment of supplementation (1 to 7) thanks to these zootechnical results.
The station trial also provided an opportunity to precisely objectify the numerous physiological effects of SOWEL that contribute to these results:
- Reduced calving duration
- Improving colostrum quality
- Reduction of inflammatory conditions
- Improving urinary tract hygiene
