Founded in 2005 as a result of the convergence of science and entrepreneurship, Biodevas Laboratoires innovative natural solutions to support the nutrition and health of plants and animals. Its ambition is to build an efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly agricultural industry.
After graduating with a degree in Pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier, Jean-Louis Blua devoted the first part of his career to developing plant-based dietary supplements. He then worked in nutritional biology, where he was involved in assessing oxidative stress and its consequences in humans. Drawing on his knowledge, he decided, together with his son François, to found Biodevas Laboratoires in 2005 Biodevas Laboratoires the aim of developing natural solutions for crops and livestock. The goal is to naturally strengthen the resilience of living beings, in the service of efficient, sustainable, and profitable agriculture.
Biodevas Laboratoires an independent company that, since its creation, has been part of the One Health approach, which includes plants, animals, and humans.
By launching its Animal Care Business Unit right from the start, Biodevas quickly demonstrated the relevance of its solutions to major issues in cattle and poultry farming. In 2008, after two years of collaboration with technical institutes and visionary farmers, the CropScience division CropScience born. The results obtained confirmed that effectiveness and naturalness could go hand in hand in crop treatment. These initial successes laid the foundations for continuous innovation, serving farmers and living organisms.
With its scientific expertise and original products, Biodevas has expanded its ranges over the years to include pork, pet care, and horses for its Animal Care division Animal Care well Animal Care viticulture and arboriculture for its CropScience division, CropScience to meet the needs of sectors awaiting major innovations.
By bringing together its headquarters, research center, and production facilities on a single site, Biodevas guarantees control and responsiveness. In 2024, with the inauguration of its third industrial expansion at its site in the Sarthe region, Biodevas Laboratoires its commitment to remain a French company with a global reach, with a presence in nearly 40 countries by 2025.
